This Is The 2021 Honda Ridgeline: Same Amazing Pickup Features, New Look
October 08 2020,
The redesigned 2021 Honda Ridgeline is set to go on sale early in the new year with a bold new look. Don't worry: the Ridgeline will remain the class leader in terms of ride and handling, interior space and comfort, safety, and bed versatility. The Ridgeline is now just going to engage in all of its typically Ridgeline-like behaviour with all-new sheet metal ahead of the front doors, new wheels, and numerous detail changes.
The exterior updates are all listed below:
- • power bulge hood
- • new front fenders
- • squared-off nose
- • more upright crossbar grille
- • LED headlights
- • new front bumper
- • bumper side vents that create air curtains to improve aero around front wheels
- • body colour extends lower down front bumper
- • new front skidplate
- • rear bumper incorporates twin exhaust outlets
There are interior changes, as well. Honda starts with an updated touchscreen display and then added a conventional volume knob. There's new upholstery and stitching and new trim accents throughout the cabin.
Thankfully, Honda isn't messing with all of the elements that make the Ridgeline such an amazingly flexible, fun-to-drive, capable, and efficient pickup truck. There's still a best-in-AWD class 1,580-pound payoad capacity, 5,000 pounds of towing capacity, a bed that can flat-carry sheets of plywood, and a 207-litre in-bed trunk. There's a dual-action tailgate, standard Honda Sensing safety gear, an ACE structure that produces top pickup truck crash ratings, and a rapid 280-horsepower engine that returns outstanding fuel economy (10 L/100km).
The 2021 Ridgeline pictured here includes a Honda Performance Develoment package with fender flares, bronze wheels, and a subtly altered grille. As we receive more info on the 2021 Ridgeline's trim breakdown, we'll be adding more images ASAP.
