Introducing The Honda e: World Urban Car Of The Year
April 22 2021, Centennial Honda
Last week, Honda’s first all-electric, city vehicle was named 2021’s World Urban Car of the Year at this year’s World Car Awards! Following its introduction at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show, the Honda e has been on an electrifying hot streak.
Though this innovative electric model is still a few years out from making its first appearance in Canada, Japanese and European market consumers haven’t been able to get enough of this unconventional EV, having already presented it with two ‘Red Dot’ awards for outstanding design, a ‘Best of the Best 2020’ award, the ‘ECOBEST’ title, and more!
So what did the 93 international journalists representing the World Car Awards love most about Honda’s cutting edge EV? It’s simple. The Honda e delivers an unparalleled driving experience, bolstered by its top of the line in-car technology and connectivity, and eye-catching contemporary design. Honda’s all-new EV continues to set the standard across the world for both its quirky design and its advanced e-mobility.
Still on the fence about EVs? We’ll let the numbers speak for themselves. On average, the Honda e’s rapid charge takes only 31 minutes, and lasts about 220km. To put that into perspective, you could drive from Centennial Honda all the way to Stratford three times before needing to charge your battery again!
Although it looks like we’ll be waiting a few more years before the Honda e finally arrives here in Summerside, make sure you stay tuned as we deliver the latest Honda e updates, green initiatives, and more!
