Canadian Model Info And Specs For The All-Electric 2024 Honda Prologue
October 06 2023, Centennial Honda
We have more specifics and trim level info on the 2024 Honda Prologue that's destined to land in Canada in early 2024.
Every Prologue in Canada will be fitted with all-wheel drive and every Prologue will be very nicely equipped: 11.3-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, blind zone steering assist, 8-way power driver's seat, heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control.
But moving up to the Prologue EX-L gets you leather seating, a panoramic sunroof, a power tailgate, memory settings for the driver's power seat, and 12-speaker Bose audio. The Prologue Touring adds 21-inch alloys, a head-up display, ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, a Sport mode, and 21-inch wheels.
Canadian colour options for the Prologue include Mercury Silver Metallic, Raven Black, Scarlet Red Metallic, Snowfall Pearl, and Pacific Blue Metallic.
Inside, the Prologue is massive. Although the vehicle itself is basically Passport-sized, the Prologue's wheelbase – the distance from the centre hub of the front and rear wheels – actually stretches farther than the wheelbase of the Odyssey minivan. Carving out so much space between the axles allows the Prologue's cabin to offer stretch-out-your-legs limo-like space. That long wheelbase allows the doors to open wider, too, making it easier to get into the lounge environment.
Behind the passengers the Prologue's cargo area makes room for 714 litres of luggage capacity or 1,634 litres with the rear seats folded.
As for the electric specifics, the Honda Prologue uses an 85 kWh Ultium single layer battery. All-wheel-drive Prologues will produce 288 horsepower and 333 lb-ft of torque. With Google Built-In tech, the Prologue will actually be able to provide real-time route planning based on available chargers and your specific Prologue's efficiency data. The Prologue can even pre-condition its own battery pack before arriving at a charger in order to maximize charge rates.
Land at a fast charger and the Prologue can drink up energy at 155 kW – that'll add a little more than 100 kilometres of range in 10 minutes. Final ratings aren't yet available, but it's estimated that Canada's Honda Prologue will provide roughly 450 kilometres of range.
