All-New 2023 Honda HR-V Launches With Sporty Styling Just In Time For Summer
April 08 2022, Centennial Honda
The Honda HR-V is ringing in the “Year of the Honda SUV” with an all-new sporty second generation model. Launching this summer, Honda’s newly upgraded sub-compact SUV takes cues from the award-winning 11th generation Honda Civic, focusing on maximizing space efficiency and sleek styling.
Honda has taken the phrase “bigger and better” to heart in the redesign of their latest HR-V. Featuring a longer wheelbase and wider stance, the 2023 Honda HR-V will provide the perfect blend of space, utility, and nimble maneuverability. Honda Canada’s Assistant Vice President, Steve Hui, hopes the new HR-V will “attract a new generation of customers with its upgraded and enhanced features,” noting that the HR-V will offer “qualities beyond its segment while retaining the reliability, durability and versatility it is known for.”
For its second North American installment, the HR-V’s underhood upgrades include a more responsive engine paired with a new independent rear suspension, giving the sub-compact SUV a more confident, refined and fun-to-drive personality.
The SUV’s newly designed exterior takes a minimalist approach, emphasizing clean lines and an elongated athletic stance. A low horizontal beltline gives the HR-V’s flowing forms a sense of motion, while the rear features a sculpted hatch and functional tailgate spoiler that highlight its sporty proportions. New wide-set LED headlights and taillights along with a large greenhouse provides excellent visibility, enhanced by door-mounted mirrors and HR-V's low cowl.
The 2023 Honda HR-V will be the first of three Honda SUVs scheduled for updates this year, with an all-new Honda CR-V and Honda Pilot still to come. Stay tuned as we keep you up to date with the latest developments throughout the “Year of the Honda SUV.”
